After so much waiting, the election just around the corner. And if I may be allowed one request, that would be VOTE. It is an honor and duty that generations have fought and even died for, from revolutionary soldiers to the heroes of the civil rights movement. This is a chance to have your voice counted and be included in the conversation. It is a chance to ENSURE that you are counted. I don’t need to tell you how important this election is for the future of this country.

Lumber-Barons Clear-Cut WI 100 Years Ago. Today Frac Sand Interests Want to Strip Us

The famous saying, "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Those who do not remember their past are condemned to repeat their mistakes" should remind Wisconsin to proceed carefully before allowing Koch brother's interests to denude our landscape of silica-sand, the unique sandstone formations that are part of our natural heritage and which enable the Badger State to maintain some of the highest-quality water in the world.

In the 21 century, it is not lumber barons that want the public to pay for the costs of timber-harvesting and the resulting havoc it creates for the rest of us.  Now the gas and oil drillers like the Koch brothers want to literally grind up much of the state, destroy natural aquifers and purifiers, and leave huge craters that look like landscapes on mars.

In testimony before the Sen. Committee on Agriculture, Elections, and UW System on October 25, 2012, three advocates from the Wisconsin Grassroots Network calmly and convincingly laid out a compelling case that Wisconsin's closed, propriety, non-transparent, and unverifiable elections undermine public confidence in the democratic process.  Remember, U.S. Constitution clearly states that our government exists to serve "We the people".

Wisconsin's Constitution, Article I, Declaration or Rights, is even clearer [emphasis added]:

[As amended Nov. 1982 and April 1986] All people are born equally free and independent, and have certain inherent rights; among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; to secure these rights, governments are instituted, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

Romney Jumps the Shark: Lies About Jeep Too Much Even for MSM

People in Wisconsin that are paying attention have seen Congressman Paul Ryan twist the truth for political gain, but the top of the GOP ticket may have bested his VP with a deceptive ad that even the corporate media is talking about.  Jumping the shark is an idiom created by Jon Hein that is used to describe the moment a television show begins its descent into irrelevance, referring to a particular scene, episode, or aspect of a show in which the writers use some type of "gimmick" in a desperate attempt to keep viewers' interest.  The term specifically refers to Happy Days and an episode where Fonzi water skis in Hollywood and ridiculously hops over a live shark.

The Romney Campaign has "achieved" this with an outrageous 30-second ad that tells an amazing lie-every 7.5 seconds.  No wonder there is a website dedicated to the fact that "There Are Liars, There Are DAMNED Liars, and Then There's Mitt Romney."

Scott Walker proclaimed to his largest in-state billionaire donor, Diane Hendrick's that he would make Wisconsin a "completely red state" by using "divide and conquer" (video).  We are seeing this in-play in many ways -- more than just stripping public employees of collective bargaining.  The ultimate "divide and conquer" is to create profit centers from institutional racism -- and the most effective way of socializing the costs of public services while privatizing the profits is to start with for-profit prisons.

Anonymous Warns Karl Rove Not To Do It

MADISON, WISCONSIN.  Does anyone remember the historic 2006 elections where Americans finally sent a slate of legislators to Washington to put the brakes on the radical extremist policies and war-machine of George W. Bush (and remember, W stood for Herbert WALKER -- this does matter).  Just before that historic election, Karl Rove told NPR that, despite polling data to the contrary, he had "the math" and that no meaningful change would happen.  What was he actually stating?

Those that attended the recent Wisconsin Senate's Committee on Health, Revenue, Tax Fairness and Insurance information hearing in Milwaukee on the massive LogistiCare privatization failure in Wisconsin (and across America) understand how the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel misleads.  The testimony in this short video demonstrates that LogistiCare and Journal Communications are not truthful in their assessment of the problem.  LogistiCare is not a "victim" in any way -- they structured its phone centers to be dysfunctional.  It was their choice to stick-it-to transpiration providers.

This video shows how Logisticare abused and mistreated services providers and  threatened retaliation if any came public.  In many cases, LogistiCare did not pay for services rendered.  This is what happens when privatization schemes give companies $38 million up-front and let them keep the money whether they actually provide a service or not.

On November 6, we will come face to face with an important opportunity to fight suppression and exercise our inalienable Constitutional right to vote.

VOICES TV Exclusive: LogistiCare FAIL -- Three Community Members Speak

.On October 18, 2012, the Wisconsin Senate's Committee on Health, Revenue, Tax Fairness and Insurance held an information hearing on a massive privatization failure here and Wisconsin -- the inability of Providence Service Corporation's LogistiCare to responsibly broker transportation for some of Wisconsin and America's most needy citizens.  Media reports of this hearing have been sketchy and entirely miss the main points being made at the 3 1/2 hour hearing.

While LogistiCare wants to claim that reported problems are solely do to underestimating the demand for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and not having a large enough call center and network of transportation providers -- the breakdown in transit to covered and necessary medical treatments and therapies is due to the very structure of their exclusive contract with the State of Wisconsin and the fact that LogistiCare has been paid $38 million dollars up-front regardless of whether qualified members need covered rides or if one is actually provided.

Tax-Dodgin' GOP Ticket: Romney/Ryan

LogistiCare is Breaking the Law in Wisconsin: More Walker "Divide and Conquer"?

Important information made public during the Senate Committee on Health, Revenue, Tax Fairness, and Insurance information sessions on the state-wide privatization failure by non-emergency medical transportation broker LogistiCare, include statements by Attorney Shirin Cabraal about her conclusions that the company is breaking federal and state laws.

Responsibly providing health-care services should be a non-partisan issue, but as we pointed out in our initial report from the information session, Minority Leader Sen. Scott Fitzgerald, for the first time in Wisconsin history, has refused to appoint republicans to a standing committee, making oversight related to the safety of Wisconsin citizens a highly partisan issue.  The media is also not reporting what appears to be serious violations of state and federal laws and the physical harm this does to Badger State residents.

City of Madison Misleads on Closing Streets for Railroad

If one calls Madison Mayer Paul Soglin's office to talk about the serious problems WATCO's Wisconsin and Southern Railroad is creating for the Willy Street neighborhood by demanding the closing of two crossings by mid-2014 with cul-de-sacs on either side of the tracks and if one asks the right questions, it becomes clear that Soglin is not being direct and forthcoming with the community. The streets which are being ordered closed run between Williamson Street and East Washington Street (Note:  an unused spur track leading to Madison Gas and Electric property is unaffected).

Frac Sand: What It Is, Why It Matters, How Multi-National Corporate Interests Exploit

The old saying, “cheap as dirt” is now null and void – at least if Wisconsin sand qualifies as dirt.  The Badger State is learning there’s money in there hills, at least if there is silica sand.  This also brings a great deal of misery and destruction – the Koch brothers want that sand for their gas and oil interests, but they are not willing to pay the full-costs of extracting, processing, shipping, and using frac-sand.

Leaked Audio: Romney Tells Employers How to Bully Employees to Vote GOP

Earlier this week, it was widely reported that the billionaires that have invested millions of dollars into Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, the Koch brothers, are bullying their employees to vote for Republicans, stating there will be "consequences" if they don't and proclaiming that if Obama is re-elected it will mean higher gas prices.  Two other CEOs sent similar notes disparaging Obama.

Now we know where they got this idea -- directly from Mitt Romney (or conversely, we now know who is giving Mitt rMONEY his marching orders).  In a conference call on June 6, 2012, rMONEY was secretly recorded subverting the democratic process -- listen for yourself after the jump.

rMONEY'S Binder Full of Women Story is a Bold-Faced Lie

From VOICES "You Can't Make This Crap Up" department, GOP Presidential hopeful Mitt rMONEY told an absolute lie about insisting on finding highly-qualified women and directing a binder of candidates be put together when he was Governor of Massachusetts.  This will likely make Wisconsin Congressman, "world class" marathon runner and part-time dish washer Paul Ryan very sad.

Has America ever seen such shameless liars propelled onto the national stage?  While rMONEY and rAYN are responsible for their dishonesty, the larger problem is a media echo chamber that fraudulently hoists sociopathic liars into the limelight as republican "rock stars".

Unflippin' Believable: Mitt rMONEY states: "IF you're going to have women in the workforce.."

 “Undecided voter” Katherine Fenton asked Obama: “In what new ways do you intend to rectify the inequalities in the workplace, specifically regarding females making only 72 percent of what their male counterparts earn?”

Evidently, Mitt rMONEY didn't understand that the question was not about IF women should be in the workplace, but rather was about SINCE women are in the workforce.

Gotta Love It: rMONEY Throws Bush Under the Bus and Obama Hammers Him

The crowd at The Fountain, on State Street in Madison, Wisconsin, loved it when a self-identified "undecided" voter at Tuesday night's town hall debate asked Mitt Romney how he was different than George W. Bush.  rMONEY was cornered -- he could not run on the Bush record, yet his campaign is based on the same "trickle down" economic flim-flam that results in the 1% urinating on the rest of us. 

George W. Bush (and remember, the W stands for WALKER) left the White House more unpopular than "Tricky Dick" at the time Richard Nixon resigned in disgrace over Watergate.  In 2008, Bush was registering disapproval ratings higher than any other President in US history.

[Update] More Proof: Media Propaganda Props Up Scott Walker

Some don't believe it' appropriate to call Wisconsin's Governor what he can demonstratively be shown to be -- our Deciever-in-Chief.  Our publisher struggles with some submissions -- we don't want to be inflammatory and understand excessive snark turns some people off to important stories.

Endless Lies: Now rMONEY/rAYN Tax Plan Has Secret Details!

From VOICES "You Can't Make This Crap Up" department, right-wing pundits and hacks are lining up with a new dishonest talking point.  Here's how the latest lie works:  Mitt rMONEY and Paul "Not A Policy Wonk/Numbers Guy" rAYN actually know EXACTLY what their tax plan is, who gets tax cuts, who will pay for them, and how these tax cuts will impact the federal budget and deficit BUT IT'S A SECRET UNTIL AFTER THEY ARE SWORN IN!

rMONEY/rAYN's media assets are now admitting that Paul "I Respectfully Disagree With Jesus" rAYN is a liar.  Just this week rAYN was claiming there were no details or numbers because rMONEY/rAYN want to negotiate them in a bipartisan manner once elected.  Being too cowardly to put forward a tax plan should fully disqualify rMONEY/rAYN from being elected in the first place.  Certainly it is an admission that they cannot claim a mandate to do anything should they, by hook or crook, "win" the fall election.

Walker's BFF Kelly Rindfleisch Has a Squirrelly Attorney. Weaseling Out of Plea Deal?

Today we learned they're still trying to weaselin' -- as we have noted, Kelly Rindfleisch's attorney Franklyn Gimbel has filed a number of merit-less motions to dismiss, suppress, and delay Wisconsin's Deciever-in-Chief Gov. Scott "John Doe" Walker's BFF's trial on 4 felonies committed within 25 feet of Walker's executive office in Milwaukee County.

Rindfleisch tried to weasel out of her responsibilities in a pretty sweet plea agreement by initially entering a "no contest" plea that Judge David Hansher immediately swatted down.  Now it appears her attorney is trying to weasel out of the plea bargain as well.

WiscPolitics Misleads About Debate: Lee Enterprises is Not a News Source

No one should be surprised that Wisconsin State Journal/Lee Enterprises' online noooooooze web is part of the rightwing echo-chamber and features misleading headlines -- this is a regular occurrence.  Today, WisPolitics (October 12 headlines) is repeating a misleading headline and linking to a deceptive report from NBC, proclaiming to the world:  Biden plays aggressor in debate as Ryan argues GOP case.

This is called the "echo chamber" where one nooooze source (in this case NBC) publishes something that is biased and not fully-based on truth.  The other noooooze organizations (i.e. WisPolitics) repeats the inaccurate report because now it is deemed "newsworthy" because the lie began with another mainstream media source.  We'll explain after the jump.

UPDATE: Will Media Stop Lying? Debate Proves Ryan's No "Policy Wonk" Nor "Numbers Guy"

The propaganda that has been on your TEE-VEE and in the nooooooze that Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan is a "bold", "serious" "policy wonk" and "numbers guy" was fully-disproved in last nights Vice Presidential Debate.  Conservative "analysts" that created this lie are now whining that VP Joe Biden smiled too much during the debate!  Biden smiled each and every time Paul Ryan lied. 

If the noooooooze folks that manufactured Ryan's faux "rock star" status and "expertise" from thin air think Biden smiled too much, the problem wasn't on Joe's face, the problem is that Ryan is a disingenuous and habitual flip-flopper and chronic liar.  The lying liars in the media are now trying to spin the debate as being about Joe's smile instead of Ryan's lies.

VOICES Publisher Shares Logisticare Story with WTDY

MADISON, WISCONSIN.  Yesterday, Bill Breitsprecher, VOICES publisher was a guest on WTDY's "Sly in the Morning".  Earlier this year, it was brought to our attention that citizens were concerned about an un-reported/under-reported story -- a privatization failure that results in people being left without rides for Non Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT).  Don't let that term, NEMT, fool you - while dubbed "non-emergency", these rides are critical to ensure people maintain their health and even their lives.

Walker Wants to Hit Road for Mitt rMONEY, But...

It looks like he has more "cooperating" to do.  Wisconsin's Deceiver-in-Chief Gov. Scott "John Doe" Walker told Green Bay Press Gazette that while he expects to campaign for GOP ticket rMONEY/rAYN, their events often come up on the spur of the moment.  This is another Walker lie.  rMONEY and rAYN are running a highly planned and scripted campaign.  The only "spur of the moment" stuff on Scottie's calendar are demands that he testify under oath in criminal trials of his closest 2 associates and now we learn Walker's BFF Kelly Rindfleisch has reached a tentative plea deal.

WSJ Misleads: "Pattern of Errors" Comes from Republican Party

It is shameful the way the city's only daily newspaper uses its platform in Madison, Wisconsin, to promote attacks on that metro area and exploits its position as the Badger State Capitol's newspaper to mislead.  Yesterday, a headline proclaimed that "Election mailings show pattern of errors" but it is not until the 5th paragraph that they state the most important "pattern" in the story:  "The source of the misdirected applications is the Republican Party of Wisconsin."   As is usually the case, when the nooooze misleads in its headlines, the text that follows is not journalistic reporting, but we'll have that after the jump.

Walker BFF Kelly Rindfleisch DEFENSE Subpoenas Scott Walker

While the fact that Wisconsin's Deceiver-in-Chief Gov. Scott "John Doe" Walker was on the PROSECUTION'S list of potential witnesses, it is the DEFENSE that subpoenaed him last Friday or late last month, depending on what sourcing you believe.  Curiously, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in THIS article indicates that the subpoena was sent to Walker's lawyer Friday, but gives no indication as to who served the subpoena.  Wisconsin State Journal is reporting that it was Rindfleisch's defence attorney, Franklyn Gimbel that had the subpoena served for force him to testify.

MADISON, WI.  It's not just rMONEY's 5 sons that habitually lie as he stated in the debate Wednesday -- they learned it from daddy.  No one should expect a chronic flip flopper (video) and habitual liar to play by the rules, but this isn't an excuse for breaking agree-on rules and guidelines in front of National TV.  Its also not a free pass for the media to silently accept and enable the intellectual dishonesty. Mitt rMONEY has not integrity nor core values other than privilege and entitlement.

Romney clearly cheating at the debates, entirely caught on camera, is a BFD that your TEE-VEE and noooooozpapers will not tell you.  After the jump is definitive proof that Mitt rMONEY, who largely lied with imunity and ran all over an incompetend moderator, Jim Lehrer, brought a cheat sheet to the debate despite agreeing to rules that specifically banned them.

Canceling Exit Polls is a BFD: Don't Let the Media Mislead You

Those in Wisconsin know that exit polls can be manipulated.  On June 5th, it was broadcast across the Badger State that Gov. Scott Walker's recall race was "too close to call", yet the election was called while people were still in line to vote!  Analyst of the those results indicates Walker's "victory" doesn't pass the smell test.  The media tried to justify their exit-poll shenanigans by falsely proclaiming that exit polls have to be adjusted to match proprietary (read:  secret) unverifiable machine counts.  In fact, the exit data was actually corrupted.  The media misrepresented what it did -- destroying the validity of their exit polls.

When National Election Pool, the consortium of corporate media that hires Edison Research to conduct proprietary exit polls, announced that they would no longer conduct exit polls in 19 states in the 2012 Presidential election because of cost issues, red flags went up across the election integrity community.

Teabaggin' Sheriff Clarke's Department Still Under Investigation for Major Embezzlement

An open records request has verified that an investigation is still ongoing into what has been reported as "tens of thousands" of dollars embezzled from controversial Sheriff David Clarke's department.  VOICES reported on all of this after a curious late Friday news dump on June 8th.

Two weeks after Wisconsin's Deceiver-in-Chief Gov. Scott "John Doe" Walker's former spokesperson, and currently the top media contact for Milwaukee County's teabaggin' Sheriff, Fran McLaughlin, asked for and was granted immunity in the ongoing John Doe probe in which Walker is a target, Major Nancy Evans was escorted out of her office and placed on paid administration leave while an investigation is underway to get to the bottom of large amounts of monies that have been paid for work not actually done by private contractors at Milwaukee County Jail facilities.

Richard Charnin, a highly-qualified quantitative computer programmer, has been "doin' the numbers" -- statistically analyzing and modeling historic outcomes of U.S. Elections.  He's seeing serious problems -- clear indications that election integrity in America is in doubt and that anomalies consistently benefit one party -- the republicans.  Others have observed a "red shift" as well.

A strange phenomena has developed in America -- increasingly, American cities are are full of noooozepapers, TEE-VEE, and radio stations that exist to attack the very citizens that they claim to serve.  And they wonder why circulation/viewership is in free-fall and their credibility is at historic lows!  Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, WTMJ, and TMJ have not fairly presented the concerns and interests of vast majority of Milwaukeans, who today are largely people of color, for many years.

Why don't they just relocate to Walkersha?

Today's Wisconsin State Journal resoundingly proves that Lee Enterprise/WSJ doesn't have any respect nor concerns for the citizens of Madison.  An editorial titled "Judge made the easy decision" reeks of hypocrisy, arrogance, and disdain.  Someone please remind me why we should purchase any of their products and/or support their advertisers.

Dang, Judge Says Emails CAN be Used, What Will Scottie Say on the Stand Now?

Wisconsin's Deceiver-in-Chief, Gov. Scott "John Doe" Walker may be passing bricks through his colon tonight.  His BFF Kelly Rindfleisch had another attempt to circumvent an accountability moment swatted down when a state Appeals Court Tuesday refused to reverse a trial court ruling that said she could not prevent emails obtained by prosecutors from being used at her trial.

Scottie is on the potential witness witness AGAINST his former aide, accused of using an illegal computer network to raise campaign funds on the taxpayer's dime within 25 feet of Walker's Milwaukee County Executive office.  Who will get thrown under the bus?

WisPolitics Misleads: Promotes Propaganda About Selling Votes

Lee Enterprise's media network, which now includes Walker's propaganda tool, Wisconsin State Journal, WisPolitics -- an online subscription nooozer servie, is promoting a trumped up story with the headline:  "Selling votes is common type of election fraud".

From VOICES "You Can't Make This Crap Up" department, this same nooooze organization downplayed an incident in Waukesha during the republican primary where Mitt rMONEY and Paul rAYN gave away crappy, barely-edible sandwiches from Cousins at no charge -- evidently for votes.  Better bread my @ss!

NY Magazine Finally Gets It! Ryan No "Policy Wonk/Numbers Guy"

We've been posting about the blatant hypocrisy and empty rhetoric of Wisconsin's "boy wonder" Paul "I Respectfully Disagree With Jesus" Ryan all year.  This writer immediately saw that when Ryan stepped onto the national stage in 2011 with his Koch/ALEC dishonest and devastating budget that he was mouthing the empty words of others and was being groomed for something bigger.

Our real problem is not Paul Ryan -- its the media that fraudulently hoists these types of empty-suit sociopathic liars onto the national stage, manufacturing "rock stars" out of incompetent boobs and shills.  At least New York Magazine finally gets it.

No Wonder Scottie's Asking for Snitchers!

Let's be clear -- protecting the homeland from violence perpetrated by domestic or foreign terrorist is important -- we support this.  It is a disgrace, however, that a man promoting economic destabilization of Wisconsin's economy, at the center of federal and state investigations, the promoter of ALEC's conceal and carry & stand your ground laws that are correlated with mass shootings, and the primary beneficiary of an unfolding scandal many call Walkergate is now being fraudulently heralded as a credible source for "If You See Something, Say Something" campaigns.  The latest Walkergate development is after the jump.

rMONEY/rAYN say Jesus Hates the Poor

Many Americans forget that before Mitt rMONEY became a politician, he was a Mormon Bishop -- yet today he proclaims he has no interest in the poor because they don't care about endless tax cuts for the wealthy.  He directly calls them lazy and irresponsible, proclaiming they won't vote for him anyhow.

His running mate, Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan, has called for devastating cuts to programs that support the poor and elderly, justifying it by saying this is why his Christian faith demands.  In Madison, every Thursday up to this election, the local diocese of the Catholic Church holds a prayer-a-palooza where priest have actually told their flock to vote for rMONEY/rAYN and essentially function as a republican pep-rally.
